So its 2015... in many ways 2015 is almost over.
I haven't been making any new mixes since I started my most recent job last February 2014.
I've noticed an uptrend of mixes available in various corners of the internet that satisfy my appetite and closely resemble my mixes. I urge everyone to follow them, and get mixes from their website, www.steadymixes.com
Also, I've been expanding my listening this past 18 months with dubstep and iheartradio
For anyone interested in my mixes, I strongly encourage you to please also check out Evolution and Dubstep
Although I feel tempted to make a dubstep mix and a mix based on Evolution, I don't feel like I have the time and patience to continue making mixes when others are now creating equally powerful mixes. I started this project back in 2006, early 2007 before the whole electronic dance music movement came to its full fruition. My goal was to expose hip-hop, club and house, pop and even rock/metal listeners to remixes, uplifting music that can power you through a workout or in my case a work shift. I feel that since establishing my initiative, and through natural evolution, the music has blended itself well and the movement took off in all the directions that I had seen in its potential. I'm sorry to say that it will be a rare occurrence to see a new mix from, but the time will come when I feel that people need to hear something that is familiar but somehow totally new and totally awesome. So until then, stay tuned.

I haven't been updating this blog in a while.
I've been putting releases up on SoundCloud when I feel that they are up to my quality standards. Please check the following location for monthly downloads.

I do not intend to make any profits from my mixes and they are the respective copyrights of the copyright holders and DJ's involved in the specific tracks that I put together into an 80 minute session.

Recent
Hi all.
A month is so short and there is so many other things going on other than the projects were are trying to work on.
I haven't been doing all that much with the music lately. I still make a session each month but I haven't felt that I've truly completed a session for a few months now. That is to say that despite having a decent session I still feel as though something is lacking or could have been better. Nonetheless I am not going back to fix anything else from those sessions. At some point they still may be available for download. Soon I will again try to make monthly publishings.

The new home for the DJ Big Joe Radio Show blog
Welcome to the new home for the DJ Big Joe Mix Show blog.
This blog space will be solely dedicated to releases, information, and updates about the radio show.
If you're new to the DJ Big Joe Mix Show series, then get ready to get hooked. At this point I've put together nearly 35 full length mix CD's. I scour the internet for the hottest dance remixes to the most popular tracks played on the radio. I adjust transitions between tracks and slightly tweak things like the tempo and sometimes the EQ, or extend the vocals and blend different mixes of the same track together.
Lets not forget that the DJ Big Joe Mix Show would not be possible without the DJ's that put together the actual remixed tracks that I use in my mix CD's. Since you generally can't find a way to purchase the remix versions of a track, my mixes are completely non-profit. All I ask is that you support the DJ's, artists, radio stations, and record labels by buying the merchandise that they do sell.
I put together these mixes mostly for my own personal entertainment using tracks that I usually find freely downloadable on different sites simply by using Google. I also see these mixes as a promotional vehicle for the artists and tracks included on them. However, should any DJ, artist, or record label have any issues with me doing this, please contact me directly for removal in the event that there may be a copyright issue. Please note that it is not my intent to violate any copyrights held by those people.
